Break LTD's data centre is considered to be a Tier-1 facility in terms of network connectivity and infrastructure design. The facility was Orcon Internet's core facility up to July 2007, however they're still right next door.
Located on Auckland's North Shore, Break LTD can accommodate large server farms, racks, and telecommunication gear. We have direct ethernet multi-Gigabit bandwidth connections available from major internet backbone carriers in New Zealand, including AsiaNetCom, APE, Vector, Global Gateway & TelstraClear. Our scalable Multi-Gigabit network currently serves your network and can be accessed anywhere in the world 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

The datacentre infrastructure is engineered to provide maximum performance and redundancy, and with the following features, offers many benefits. We are peered with both major NZ peering exchanges, APE & WIX.

Reliability and Performance
Break LTD has multiple 100mb ethernet connections to Orcon Internet whom have multiple 1000mb connections to upstream providers giving superb reliability and performance. Our entire backbone is running on gigE (1000mb) connections with both layer 2 & 3 cisco devices. Each customer is supplied their own VLAN ensuring your data is secure from even our customers as an added security layer.

Redundancy
All equipment in the facility is powered via an online UPS system, providing constant, stable power. A generator provides unlimited backup power in the event of a power failure.

We utilize 2 national providers (Telstra Clear & Telecom), 2 peering exchanges (Auckland Peering Exchange & Wellington Internet Exchange) and 2 international providers being AsiaNetCom and MCI (UUNET).

Security
The building is designed for maximum security with concrete poles, double layer concrete and a steel mesh wall structure. Access security is monitored 24x7 by a dedicated security firm. Entry points are covered by Closed Circuit Video Surveillance cameras.

Climate Control
Multiple HVAC units produce a temperature and humidity regulated environment for optimal equipment performance and lifetime.

Fire Detection
The data centre has a VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) fire detection system with three-stage alarm including direct connection to the Fire Brigade providing early warning of any fire risks. The fire station is less than a km from our facility.
